HEALINX CORPORATION ANNOUNCES APPOINTMENT OF EDAN KABATCHNIK AS SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT OF PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT

Former Sprout Consultant Adds Impressive Technology Experience to Medical Relationship Management Application Service Provider

ALAMEDA, CA, August 7, 2000 - Healinx Corporation, the premier provider of secure Web-based doctor-patient communication tools, today announced the appointment of Edan Kabatchnik as senior vice president of product development. Healinx Corporation will draw upon Kabatchnik's extensive software and management experience to add to the company's technology development efforts.

Kabatchnik began his career at Oracle, where he held positions as lead software developer, as well as manager and director of engineering. As the director of development of the Distributed Solutions Group, he led his team in the development of a portable distributed software management system, which was designed to push Oracle software around a network and then manage the resulting network of Oracle databases.

Kabatchnik left Oracle to found an Internet start-up company called Eventus Software. As chief technology officer and executive vice president of engineering, he conceived and delivered highly scalable enterprise software products in the Web content management space. Three years later, after securing 30 employees, 10 beta customers, and two rounds of capital, he sold the company to Segue Software.

He then joined the Sprout Group, where as a technology consultant he scrutinized the technology infrastructure, architecture, and teams of early-stage companies for investment partners as part of the Sprout Group's due diligence process.
