HEALINX WELCOMES NEW CEO
Giovanni Colella, MD joins Healinx as president and CEO.
Alameda, CA, February 22, 2000 - Healinx Corporation today announced the appointment of Giovanni Colella, MD as its new president and CEO. Dr. Colella will be responsible for managing the growth of the company, which offers the only commercially-available Internet messaging solution that provides secure, online doctor/patient communications.

Dr. Colella came to Healinx from Sapient, where he co-created and was director of the Healthcare Industry Group. During his tenure, Dr. Colella worked with several healthcare organizations in the private and public sectors helping them design and implement their Internet strategies. Dr. Colella also managed the team that created and implemented the first telemedicine disease management program for diabetic retinopathy in the world. Before Sapient Dr. Colella was a partner at SAI, a healthcare consulting firm and a consultant at the Boston Consulting Group. He previously practiced medicine for 10 years in New York.
