RELAYHEALTH ANNOUNCES APPOINTMENT OF WAYNE MOON AS EXECUTIVE CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD
Former CEO of Blue Shield of California Joins Executive Team of Leading Online Doctor-Patient Communication Service
Emeryville, Calif., October 31, 2002 — RelayHealth Corporation (formerly Healinx), the nation's premier provider of Web-based, doctor-patient communication services, today announced the appointment of Wayne Moon as Executive Chairman of the Board. Mr. Moon, who has served as a Director on the RelayHealth Board since 2000, will now take on a full-time role within the company.
Mr. Moon is a seasoned and highly respected healthcare executive with over 37 years of experience in the healthcare industry. “Wayne's wealth of experience as a former health plan executive is invaluable to us,” said Giovanni Colella, MD, president and chief executive officer of RelayHealth. “In his new role, he will contribute even more significantly to the company and take a hands-on role in guiding our webVisit® reimbursement strategy. This is extremely important to us as we move our payor relationships forward on the strength of our recent webVisit Study results.”

Mr. Moon was chairman and chief executive officer of Blue Shield of California for seven years, retiring from that position January 1, 2000. Previously, he was president, chief operating officer, and a director for Kaiser Foundation Health Plan, Inc. and Kaiser Foundation Hospitals. Mr. Moon earned his Bachelor of Business Administration and Master of Hospital Administration degrees from the University of Michigan.
Mr. Moon is the past chairman of the Board of Directors of the American Association of Health Plans and a past-president of the Board of the International Federation of Health Funds. Until his retirement from Blue Shield, he served on the boards of the California Business Roundtable, San Francisco Jobs Board, the Bay Area Council and the California Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Moon continues to serve on numerous corporate boards and charitable organizations.
