RelayHealth Receives EHNAC Reaccreditation

Certification validates EHNAC’s trust in RelayHealth to meet established standards

ATLANTA, April 28, 2008—─RelayHealth, the leading provider of healthcare connectivity services, today announced that the Electronic Healthcare Network Accreditation Commission (EHNAC) has re-accredited its clearinghouses for compliance with industry standards and best practices. With more than 30 years’ industry experience, RelayHealth has established leadership in real-time financial transactions, processing more than 1.48 billion transactions annually between physicians, hospitals, insurers and consumers.

After an extensive evaluation of business practices and performing an onsite review, the EHNAC steering committee accredited RelayHealth with exceptional scores. To achieve EHNAC recertification, RelayHealth demonstrated a high-quality work environment in compliance with industry standards and best practices, which include organizational structure, staff qualifications, training and management, quality management, capacity management, and data protection. The bi-annual accreditation process was completed in February and full accreditation was given to all RelayHealth clearinghouse locations around the country.

"EHNAC accreditation is the hallmark of industry recognition for critical revenue cycle services we provide to thousands of providers at doctors' offices, clinics and hospitals," said Dave Mason, vice president and general manager of provider solutions, RelayHealth. "We’re proud to receive our seventh EHNAC recognition affirming excellence in the RelayHealth clearinghouse operations. This level of quality in service delivery and results is now expected and demanded in healthcare financial processes."

As an independent, 501C3 not-for-profit accrediting agency, EHNAC provides independent peer evaluation of an organization’s ability to perform at industry-established levels within the healthcare electronic network industry, which includes the development and implementation of best practices and industry standards.

"RelayHealth has demonstrated consistent adherence to EHNAC standards through the years,” said Lee Barrett, executive director of EHNAC. “RelayHealth is part of a select group of clearinghouses proven to deliver services in accordance with the only standards in the industry that measure the overall business practices of a clearinghouse.”

RelayHealth’s intelligent network offers a vast array of connectivity services that improves clinical communication, accelerates care delivery and drives cash collection among patients, providers, pharmacies, payors and financial institutions. The company’s goal is to empower constituents across the healthcare spectrum to connect interactively, share information and collaborate to improve the quality of care and reduce administrative costs.

RelayHealth has one of the industry’s largest product and service portfolios for revenue cycle management. Its transaction services include claims processing, remittance, eligibility, address validation, and online business office and patient communication services such as patient statements and other healthcare-related documents. RelayHealth also provides products for online claim management and processing with automated workflow and claim tracking, registration quality assurance, payment risk analysis and charity/Medicaid patient management.

RelayHealth operates as a neutral partner in an open network environment offering connectivity solutions that work transparently with a variety of vendor partners who may be suppliers and/or distributors of its connectivity services.
