Health Plan Chooses RelayHealth for Reduced Operational Complexity, Greater Provider Alignment
RelayHealth PCS “a game changer” claims customer
UCare, an independent, nonprofit health plan providing health coverage and services to more than 230,000 members in Minnesota and western Wisconsin, has selected RelayHealth as their exclusive provider for member claims management to enhance operational efficiency and improve health plan provider alignment.
RelayHealth’s Payer Connectivity Services (PCS) supports health plans’ efforts to collaborate with
providers for administrative simplification, and to manage the transition to HIPAA 5010. PCS enhances claims workflow and reduces operational complexity. Additionally, PCS advanced customization gives health plans the flexibility to deploy industry standard and payer specific business rules to reduce manual intervention.
“RelayHealth is a strategic partner who understands the business needs of today’s health plans,” stated Rob Beauchamp, CIO, UCare. “RelayHealth PCS is a game changer that will allow us to be more agile with regulatory changes and to deliver new electronic services to our providers.”
“Health plans are increasingly reaching out to RelayHealth because they’re concerned with their ability to effectively serve their providers,” said Dave Mason, senior vice president, general manager, RelayHealth Financial Solutions. “In the face of healthcare reform, the traditional solutions and vendors are not meeting the current or future needs. Health plans want to deliver greater value. They need to lower costs while enhancing service.”
Mason continued, “UCare is a forward looking health plan with a strong commitment to member service and operational excellence. Their decision to expand their relationship with RelayHealth and deploy PCS highlights a trend among health plans to streamline connectivity to deliver better service to members and providers.”
