Transition to ICD-10

The transition to ICD-10 is not just an update – it is an overhaul. All payers, providers and vendors are being affected by the transition to the expanded ICD-10 code sets. These coding changes will affect medical coding operations, software systems, reporting, administration, registration, and more. Any delay could result in your organization experiencing backlogs, denials, and impacts on revenue.

Much of the work completed for HIPAA 5010 helped to lay the groundwork for RelayHealth to be ICD-10 ready in advance of the deadline. RelayHealth developed the following ICD-10 mission statement to communicate our role during the transition to ICD-10.

• Transparency on payer readiness and testing capabilities
• Connectivity to support financial neutrality between compliant providers and payers
• Visibility to payer issues after the compliance deadline
